  • Practical start-up experience in the professional services, information technology and retail sectors.


ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • Over his career, John has worked with companies including Commonwealth Steel Company Limited (BHP Group), Austen & Butta Limited (JV partnership with Shell Group), Young & Rubicam Advertising, Allders International Pty Ltd (Allders plc), TVSN Limited, CiTR Pty Ltd (University of Queensland) and Inventis Limited (formerly Gregory Australia Limited) in senior executive and Board roles.
  • Actively involved with ASX and ASIC in mergers & acquisitions, raising venture capital and taking companies through the IPO process.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering improved profit performance. A recent example was taking the ASX listed, Gregory Australia Limited (now renamed Inventis Limited) through a corporate turn-around program over a three year period resulting in mergers & acquisitions to broaden the revenue base and a 241% increase in earnings after tax from $457,122 (2003-4) to $1,560,327 (2005-6).
  • Active Fellow level memberships with CPA Australia, Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management.
