ACHIEVEMENTS:
- 1985 graduated at the University of South Australia with a BA in Accountancy and initially employed as a tax accountant with Pannell Kerr Forster in Adelaide.
- Admitted to National Australia Bank’s Tertiary Graduate Program including five years with First National Limited in Sydney, the NAB’s merchant banking subsidiary.
- Founding team member and senior manager of the Export Finance & Insurance Corporation’s Working Capital Guarantee program for SME exporters. This Federal Government sponsored service continues today under the re-badged ‘Headway’ program name.
- Head of Credit & Operations Southern Region, including New Zealand, for GE Capital’s Equipment Finance Division. A GE ‘High Flyer’ winner in 1999 for Excellence in Credit & Operations and in 2000 for Outstanding Sales Achievement.
- 2001, established and managed the Structured Finance division at Investec Bank Limited growing it from a team of four to twelve investment banking professionals.
- 2004 established Q Capital Pty Ltd to provide finance consulting services to growing companies in Australia. Q Capital achievements include:
a) Structuring and managing funding programs for asset managers and manufacturers, including operating leases for motor vehicles in a corporate fleet environment; and
b) Managing ‘debt tenders’ for and on behalf ASX listed mining and privately owned wholesalers, manufacturers and service companies.
- 2007 established Q Capital NZ Limited in Auckland to facilitate asset lending programs and debt tenders in New Zealand.
- Married seventeen years to wife Joanne and proudly raising three young lads dedicated to Australian Rules Football and boating on the Port Hacking.
